Our Persuasive Letters

Here are a selection of your Persuasive Letters to Mr Magee!

Dear Mr Magee,

I hope you are well and happy. I am writing to you to persuade you to introduce my idea to Great Missenden School.

My idea is we can have a year two fluffy cat for our classroom. Every day it would come to a different year two house for good work.

I think it would be a good idea to have a cat so we can all be happy and have more fun.

At the greenhouse it will chase birds away and it will catch mice. The cat will protect the plants, this will be good because they are living nature.

We could use the cat to help people when they ‘re hurt. Children would go to the medical room and cuddle the cat while they recover.

I'm very shore you will agree with me that having a cat is the best idea ever!

Plese write to me back

Dear Mr Magee,

How are you? I hope you’re well. I’m feeling great.

I’m writing to you to suggest that we should get a school cat. Don’t you think that would be a fantastic idea?

I believe having a school cat would be a great addition for a number of reasons. Firstly, we could read to the cat when it is sitting in our classrooms, which would encourage us to spend more time reading. Secondly, the cat could control any mice and rats that may lurk in and around the buildings. As well as that we can feed it which will teach us to be more responsible.

If we have a school cat our school would even more special, don’t you think?

Yours sincerely

To Mr Magee

I am writing to you because I think I have a good idea!

I say every class in Great Missenden school should have a class pet.

If every class had a pet every one will be happy.

At break time and buddy time they can play with it.

If it’s a guinea-pig I can teach people how to hold it and play with it and take care of it very well.  Looking after pets will make the children more responsible.

What do you think? I hope you say yes.

Yours sincerely Edward H
