What is a minibeast? This is a good chance to talk about animals without backbones  (invertebrates) How many minibeast can you name, can we find some in your books? Where do you think they would live? In soil, inside rotting logs, under stones, on leaves. What do they eat? They eat a wide variety of things - dead or alive, plant or animal, fresh or decaying. Many of them help dead things to rot down!

Watch the powerpoint and discuss together- Children can then draw their favourite minibeast and least favourite minibeast and write a sentence about it ( see attached sheet).

I have also attached some mindfulness colouring if the children need a nice relaxing indoor activity and you need to drink a cup of tea in peace!!!
