Create your very own Garden centre
In the summer term in Reception garden we have a garden centre in the role play area. This encourages the children to get their fingers dirty and use their imaginations to create role play situations that are linked to our topic.
I would love the children to have a go at creating their own area inside or out where they can have a chance to explore and create a garden centre.
Things the children could include in their garden centre-
- plant pots
- pebbles they can paint
- pictures of plants- they can draw or paint
- old packets of seeds
- watering cans
- rice to use as seeds
- gardening gloves
- gardening forks
- signs- name of the gardening centre, labelling where things need to go, costs, flower names.
This may take a few days or the week to put together and that is fine so don't feel like it needs to be all done today.
I have attached a few bits that I use in our role play in case the children want to use some ideas from there.
Enjoy and I can't wait to see photos!!!
