LO: To use punctuation correctly/write similes/use embedded clauses to add information
Today is a multiple-choice, SPAG (spelling, punctuation and grammar) lesson!
There are a lot of different features inside the text which we will look at today, and although these activities are levelled you can choose and work through however many you like. For example, if you’re a person that worries about your punctuation (or has it down as a target) you should do the H&S and AYN?! activity!
You don’t need to do them in order but do as much as you can!

LO: Arithmetic Friday
It is Friday once again. Please may you complete the questions below. Please take your time, read the questions twice before you start to answer and at the end check through your work. We are not worried about the score you get or how long it takes. If there are any questions that you get stuck on or cannot answer, email your class teacher.
LO: To pose questions to a book character

Having read chapter 1 of the Explorer we don’t know much yet about the characters in the book, but there are some details that give us some clues about their personalities.
Imagine you could interview a character in the story – what would you ask them?
What do you want to know about them?
What would their replies be?
Write your interview with your character. Set it out so you use two different colours for your questions and your character’s answers. Have fun, and be a creative as you can!

Each week there will be optional French work for you to do. This week I'd like you to carry on practising your colours in French and also have a go at counting from 0-12. If you can, complete some of the worksheets attached. There is plenty to keep you busy but don't feel like you have to do everything.
Once you have finished the tasks for the week, print off the clouds handout (if you have a printer), and colour in the tasks you have managed to do. If you don't have a printer you can always copy it into a document and highlight it. Please ask an adult in the house to take a photo of it and send it to me at firstname.lastname@example.org
