Position and Direction

Today we will be exploring turns of a right angle (quarter turn) in clockwise and anticlockwise directions.

1. Spend some time going through the attached PowerPoint presentation to practise making and describing clockwise and anticlockwise turns.

2. Choose one or more of the below challenge choices to complete.

Hot and Spicy: Using page 1 from the Activity Sheets, direct two cars through the town and mark on the clockwise and anticlockwise turns.

Mega Hot: Using page 3 from the Activity Sheets, direct three cars through the town and mark on the clockwise and anticlockwise turns.

Are You Nuts?!: Using page 1 from the Activity Sheets, direct four cars through the town and mark on the clockwise and anticlockwise turns.

Extension: Pirate Paraphernalia - Following Directions ... Can you follow the directions and help the pirate gather up all of his stuff?!

I have attached a Clockwise and Anticlockwise Poster that you may want to print out and use to help you.
