Today we are going to recap on what you did at the end of last week, telling the time to half past the hour. Start by opening the ‘Recap Half Past’ PowerPoint and work through the slides remembering what we learnt about the hands last week. Use the online clock again to make half past times: https://www.visnos.com/demos/clock and/or play this half past matching game: www.twinkl.co.uk/resource/clock-matching-half-past-interactive-matching-activity-tg-447
Then play this ‘What’s the time Mr Wolf’ interactive game: www.twinkl.co.uk/resource/whats-the-time-mr-wolf-half-past-version-game-tg2-m-86
Activity: Complete the ‘Half Past Drawing’ activity sheet being careful to accurately put the hands in the correct places and the correct lengths. Maybe use two different colours to make it more obvious.
Extension: Complete the mixed times worksheet ‘Extension Activity’ document below to consolidate and make sure you understand the difference of half past and o’clock times.
