Good Morning Year 3!

Welcome back! I hope you all had a wonderful Easter and managed to enjoy some eggs. I only got one but it was a Wispa one which luckily is one of my favourite chocolate bars. The weather stayed bright and cheery as well for most of the fortnight. I managed to do some exercise inside and outside the house, including some skipping. I even started going on runs! I usually hate running unless it’s during a football match, but as I have the time, I thought why not. I’m trying to get my 5k time down as much as possible. I have also been taking part in lots of virtual quizzes on zoom with family, friends and the teachers at GM. It has been so nice seeing people, catching up with them and checking in with them to see how they are doing, even though we can’t see them face to face. What have you guys been up to?

Unfortunately, we still can’t come into school for a while, but fear not, we have got you covered! Just like before Easter, each day there will be different maths and writing tasks to complete, as well as reading 3 times a week and a Topic or Science task to last throughout the week. As well as this, there are also some extra optional Science and Music tasks you can do if you want. THESE ARE 100% OPTIONAL! YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DO THEM IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO. You can find these in the ‘Optional Music’ and ‘Optional Science’ folders. If you fancy it, then check them out. There is also some French work on the year 3 part of the MFL page that Mrs Hemsworth has been working hard on. I've had a sneak peak and it looks like great fun, so go over and check it out.

We were all so impressed with the work you did before Easter. You all worked incredibly hard, day in day out and completed some excellent work. We don’t know when we will be coming back to school, so make sure you pace yourself with your work. I know that some of you found the last few days before Easter a bit tricky, as did the teachers, so make sure you don’t burn out. Keep getting outside as much as you can . Remember, we are only an email away if you are finding things tricky. I am also going to share a maths website down below that has really helpful videos if you are finding things a bit tricky. Saves you listening to my voice!

Other than that, have a wonderful first day back and we can’t wait to see your work!

Mr Austin
