Day 16: Monday 4th May 2020

Good morning all, hope you are all feeling positive about starting the new week… It’s only a four day working week if that helps!? Hehee!

I am up having my breakfast and doing a bit of work before I head out… Today I am off to have my 20-week scan at the hospital. This is the first time I have been out in my car since my last appointment when lock down began. This is an exciting day, half way through now... I can't wait to see the baby again, although Mr Brooke-Read is not allowed to come with me. Hopefully they will let me record or take a photo of the screen for him to see when I get home. I will go as safety as I can, slightly nervous about going into a hospital, but all the NHS staff and the midwifes are doing an amazing job at keeping the risks down and keeping everyone as safe as they can, so I know it will be fine! I will let you know how I get on tomorrow! So, bear with me if I do not reply to your emails until a little bit later on today!

I hope you all had a lovely weekend and if you didn’t get a chance on Friday then I hope you found time to do some reading and send it over to me! The ones I have received were fantastic, not only can I see how much more confident and what great progression you have made, but it was lovely to see and hear you guys!! So, thank you for taking the time to do that for me!

Here are a couple of snaps of what I got up to over the weekend, it was a fairly quiet one compared to the last one! Mainly revolves around food as normal… I sorted out my store cupboard with all my goodies from 'the Pantry at 51' which then lead me to cleaning out all my kitchen cupboards....  a job I wondered why I started but once it was done was so satisfying! We obviously did pizzas again, using more of the wild garlic to top one of them. We made our own ‘take away’ curry and did the naan bread in the pizza oven! I went for long walks every day (collecting more wild garlic!) and saw lots of wildlife - this cheeky cow clearly wanted his picture taken!!

Have a great start to week 5 of distance learning everyone,

Mrs Brooke-Read x
