Phonics

This week in Phonics we are focusing on the ‘igh’ sound family. This is made up of: igh, ie, i-e and y. Like the other sound families, we have already looked at we just have to accept that the English language is very tricky! We know the ‘igh’ trigraph well so we will focus on the others more. Some spelling rules cannot be explained and we just have to ‘take a photo’ in our minds and try and remembered which words are spelt which way! Even Mrs BR gets muddled sometimes!

Today the ‘ie’. Open up the attachment to complete the activity.
