Tasks today
You can do any of the tasks below, in any order. Watch the video below for more information.
Safer Internet Day Quiz
You can try a quiz to test your knowledge! There is a Years 3 and 4 version, and a Years 5 and 6 version (an online quiz and a PDF).
The quiz is definitely worth doing- there is some really interesting information here, even if you think you know all there is to know about internet safety. Give it a go!
What would you do- email scenarios
I've set you up the following 2Dos:
When you log into Purple Mash, you'll see these as 2Dos. They are fake scenarios, showing the dangers of:
- Strangers talking to you on the internet
- Fake competitions
- Cyber bullying
- SPAM
Any emails you do through these 2Dos are only to Purple Mash, and the scenarios are all fake. I found these really interesting- worth a look. You will have to reply to someone asking for advice- can you help them make the right choice?
The 2Dos look like this:
Safer Internet Day Poster Challenge
You can create a poster on how we can all stay safe online!
Email your posters to greatnews@gmglt.co.uk.
Winning posters will be put up around the school and be included in 'Great News', our School Newspaper!
Here are some examples and some templates...

Make a Pledge!
Reading Comprehension
Have a go at these Reading Comprehensions- answers are included so you can self mark.
Internet and Phone Use Quiz
Just a reminder on this- the minimum age to use WhatsApp is 16. No one at this school should be using WhatsApp, or other social media apps, such as Facebook, Tik Tok or Instagram.
These restrictions are in place for your safety- please do not ignore them.
Thank you!
