Plants

This week's lesson is called Parts of a Plant. You are going to be learning about what function (job) the different parts of a plant have.

First of all spend some time going through the PowerPoint below.

On slide 7 you will need to use the Plenary Activity PDF below. Can you use what you have learnt about the different parts of a plant to fill in the missing gaps in the sentences?

You may also want to watch this video to learn more about the parts of a plant:

Challenge Choices:

Spicy: Using the SPICY PDF below, match up the parts of a plant with their function.

Hot & Spicy: Using the HOT & SPICY PDF below, list the function(s) of the different parts of a plant and label the diagram.

Mega Hot: Create a poster to show the functions of the different parts of a plant. Here is an example:

Are You Nuts?!: Create a fact sheet to show the functions of the different parts of a plant. (You may want to use the ARE YOU NUTS Fact Sheet PDF below, or you could create your own.)

Extension: Create a leaflet to explain the function of different parts of a plant. (You may want to use the EXTENSION Leaflet Template PDF below, or you could create your own.)

Additional activities:

I have also attached below some Plants and Growth Mindfulness Colouring Pages and some Word Searches. There is no pressure to complete any of these but I know some of you enjoy these kinds of activities!

PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU HAVE A WEEK TO COMPLETE THIS TASK.

IT IS DUE IN ON MONDAY 6TH JULY.
