Plan and prepare products to sell at the Year 5 Fairtrade farmer’s market
Market - Wednesday 10th July, 2pm
You will all have great memories from the last two years of attending Year 5 Fairtrade Farmer’s Market. This year, it is your turn to run the market stalls on Wednesday 10th July.
In your groups, you will be in competition to bake and sell your goods with the aim of raising money for the school fund, so you will need to plan carefully with your team what each of you will be making, baking and providing.
You may like to bake items such as cakes, biscuits, brownies, bread, muffins, flapjacks, shortbread etc. Please try to include some Fairtrade ingredients in your products. You could simply buy Fairtrade products to sell on or you may want to make Fairtrade themed crafty items. Everything must be brought to school on the day of the stall.
Each group will only have a table and there must be no need for a fridge, a freezer or electricity so there can be no chocolate fountains, ice creams, smoothies or chocolatey products that will melt.
IMPORTANT: Due to serious allergies across the school, it is important all homemade baked products have a list of ingredients to accompany the goods.
In class we will be planning Fairtrade themed games and advertisements to help to sell our products. But you may wish to create more posters or games at home if you would like to.
Best of luck to you all.
