Day 9: Thursday 2ndApril 2020
Morning 1BR, another day down. Did anyone have or do any funny April Fools jokes yesterday?
It was a bit of a cloudy day yesterday but that didn’t stop my morning run, I definitely feel better after going out in the fresh air and moving my body. After that it was another busy day on the emails and downloading lots of lovely photos and bit of your amazing work for our new ‘gallery’ on the website. I have created ‘FAB Work’ and ‘Strike a Pose’ sections to our distance learning page. Here I will be uploading some examples of your work and some of the lovely photos you have been sending me. I thought this would be another way to help keep us all connected.
I also snuck in a quick bake… yummy scones, only sad I didn’t have any clotted cream!
Also, to support the feedback that I am giving you all through the emails and now this fab work section, we have also started up the Deputy and Head Teacher’s awards again! If you send in something impressive I will send it over to Mr Tang and Mr Magee and they will send me some feedback and praise back to then send to you, plus a certificate. Keep your great work coming in everyone!
Today I have attached a shoe lace tying activity/guide, as although this may be quite a hard skill for Year 1 (some children in KS2 still need help) it might be a good opportunity to start to learn. Especially if you have lace up trainers or football boots. At school it would take the teachers a very long time to tie up 30 sets of laces so if you manage to learn this skill yourself not just the teachers would be thankful, I am sure your parents will be too! Let me know if anyone concurs the challenge over the next few weeks.
Finally, I have added a science section to today's activities, no rush to get these done, you may want to do it over the Easter holidays, its up to you. Good luck with your ‘hot task’ in English today and remember that as long as you try your best and use your growth mindset Mrs Brooke-Read will be happy!
Have a brilliant Thursday everyone.
