Day 19: Thursday 7th May 2020
Good morning… Its basically a Friday today as tomorrow we have a day off! There will be no work uploaded but you can look forward to the weekly ‘Brilliant Book’ and Mr Magee’s newsletter.
Tomorrow is a Bank Holiday to celebrate a very special day in history – VE Day. Because of this I have added some information and activities in the ‘History Section’ for today, for you to do today or over the long weekend. They are not compulsory but take a look if you can! You might have seen already, but Mrs Hulbert has also added some VE music activities and songs, so take a look at her music page too!
You will also see a ‘Tiger Challenge’ section... this is basically a couple of extra bits if you want them as I had already planned them forgetting it was a bank Holiday! So, do them, ignore them, I do not mind!
Yesterday I delivered the cakes and presents to my family members which were very much appreciated. We also managed to have social distance cup of tea in the garden of each house, which made their day a bit more special! Luckily this weather is so beautiful we could! I had a ‘zoom’ call with Mr Magee and Miss Cartwright in the afternoon to fill them in on all your amazing distance learning… they were both very impressed! I then got out for a warm walk before finishing the day with more of your lovely emails.
I do not really have any plans for Friday yet, a family video call, maybe some baking and hopefully sometime in the garden with Mr Brooke-Read, oh and possibly…… Pizza’s!! Hehee!
Have a lovely three-day weekend whatever you get up to staying at home and staying safe! Hopefully by Monday we will have some news on what will be happening in regards to lockdown and how we will be moving forward!? Who knows!
Love Mrs Brooke-Read x
