Good Morning Year 6,
Well done for making it past hump day of the week and one step closer to the end of your distance learning SATs week! I can speak on behalf of all year 6 teachers when I say how proud we are of you all for working so hard on your tests (and in all your work this year) and for being so honest with your scores. Your parents have made a heroic effort to mark all of your work too and we are very grateful for this.
One last push and 2 more Maths Reasoning and Problem Solving papers and you will be done. Please remain focused for these final test papers. They can be the most challenging papers as they involve reading and understanding what the Maths problem is asking you. Read each question carefully and double check answers if you have time. You can all do brilliantly!
On another, happier note, today is 'national dance like a chicken day'. So here is a photo of me dancing like a chicken:
We have also had some wonderful patchwork art sent through - a special thanks to Amelia P, Charlie M, Ella, Eva, Luke and Southerly. Look closely at for the word 'ART' hidden amongst the scribbles in Southerly's art.
Charlotte made a brilliant attempt at the extension task of creating a perspective drawing:
Finally, Freddy B in 6S made the most awesome looking coffee and walnut cake and Belle made an enormous cinnamon bun. Hmmm delicious!
6K - Please be aware that I am in school both today and tomorrow morning so will not be able to respond to emails immediately. If you have any urgent enquiries regarding the tests, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and one of the year 6 teachers may be able to help.
Have a great end to the week everyone and stay safe. We are looking forward to seeing some of you soon.
