Day 17: Tuesday 19th May 2020

Happy Tuesday all.

What a lovely day it was yesterday and its only getting better today and tomorrow so enjoy while you can! I went out for a short walk yesterday morning as my legs were feeling tired from the active weekend I seemed to have! It is just so lovely getting out for a movement break, even for just half an hour to top up the vitamin D, stretch the legs and enjoy the gorgeous countryside! I got quite close to some deer in a field and managed to take the photo below before they ran away! I also saw my favourite tree again!

I enjoyed hearing about your weekend fun yesterday. Max had a very exciting one as his family got a new labrador puppy called Tilly! She is very cute! Zoe went on a lovely sunny walk with her Dad and Sister, Cadence went on a big bike ride and had a picnic on the green. Jai and Emily both had a trip to the Phoenix Trail for bike rides and so many of you had BBQs and enjoyed the weather in your gardens – lovely!

Today I am planning a baking session… It is my sister-in-law’s birthday tomorrow so the usual lockdown birthday routine of a baking delivery, presents and singing on the drive way is planned for Wednesday morning! She loves expresso martini’s so I am going to try and recreate that in a cupcake! Wish me luck!

Mrs Hulbert has been busy creating another section to her music page to celebrate up and coming musicians! If you do any of her activities make sure you email her and you might be featured on the page! Jai from our class already is! Here is the link to check it out:

Miss Crick was in school a bit last week with the 'History Makers' and she went to check on our classroom... all good there and she found a familiar face who wanted to say hi! Travelling Ted is loving lockdown and having the school to himself... he says he has been in Mr Magee's office, doing gymnastics in the hall, sneaked into all the other year groups classrooms, climbed up the slide on the adventure playground and has even been having his lunch in the staffroom! Cheeky Ted, but he misses you all and wants you to keep safe and be good!

I have also uploaded another bedtime story to the schools Twitter account. It is called ‘Worrysaurous’. Here is the link if you fancy a listen!

I hope you all have another great day,

Mrs Brooke-Read x
