Good morning Year 3,
I hope you are all well and have had a fantastic Easter! However, I have eaten far too much chocolate and so I think I might take up Mr Austin’s idea of running 5K! As well as this, I have spent some time with my family at home (and spotted a very old golden retriever who lives opposite and likes to take himself for walks) and have done lots of online quizzes with family and friends (although I had no idea my parents could be so competitive!). I have started to bake, but hardly get to taste it as I seem to blink and it’s been eaten! I have also got back into reading and managed to read 3 books over the holidays! I love it when you can’t put a book down! Have any of you started reading a book that you are really enjoying?
It has been so lovely hearing what you have all been doing over the Easter holidays, hunting for Easter eggs, going for walks in the sunshine and spending some time with your family! A special shout out to Chloe in my class who wanted to cheer up her neighbours and family by creating a treasure hunt in a nearby field and provided some yummy treats in a pot for those who completed it. This was such a kind idea and shows that she is making sure that the people around her are safe but having fun at the same time! Thank you, Chloe, you are wonderful!
I’ve also seen lots of you painting rainbows and placing them on your windows for passers-by to look up, this is a fantastic idea to put a smile on everyone’s faces as they walk past!
If you want to get creative with your spare time, check out the rest of the distance learning pages (Art, DT, Science, History, P.E. MFL and Music) as there are loads of things you can do to keep yourselves busy! I know that Mr Austin has put up some more PE videos. Keep checking the school’s twitter and YouTube channel for the brilliant book assemblies and bedtime stories by the teachers!
Keep working hard and know that we are all very proud of you! Remember that we are only an email away if you need us! Stay happy!
Miss Sharratt 😊
