Good Morning Year 6,
I hope you are all well. Isn't it delightful to see the good weather is returning? I have to admit that I have been finding the last few days in lockdown really challenging and I am sure many of you have too. I desperately want to get back to school to see you all and have some normality. Last week, I spoke about ways to get yourself out of a rut and we looked at the effects of exercise with a smile, thinking of a positive time or memory and making a commitment to a day. I realise that we are all different and we all react differently to our actions so I wanted to consider other ways in which we might be able to ease our stresses and worries during this time.
For the past couple of years, we have been very lucky to have the wonderful Mrs Hutchins visit our classrooms to give us all the opportunity to be calm and relaxed during short mindfulness sessions. Mrs Hutchins has very kindly made a mindfulness Youtube video for all of the children at Great Missenden School and I would like you all to find a moment in your day today to join in. You may really enjoy it and decide you want to more similar mindfulness activities, so please follow and subscribe and you will find more videos . Please follow the link below:
In other news, yesterday we received some more delightful photos of some of the ways you guys have been filling your time. Hannah has been tie-dying to great effect with her brother, Lucas has made the most delicious looking lasagne, Jack has been learning Punjabi, Eddie (6K) has been walking his dog, Macie has been making VE Day bunting and Violet made a gorgeous tipi! Have a look below and have a wonderful day everyone.
