WAC - Science Selfie Competition (due in 11th December)
This week for your WAC task we would like you to think about Science in the world around us. Miss Cartwright has set a whole school challenge for your homework this week.
Firstly, we would like you to finish this sentence ‘When I think of science….’ You can finish this sentence with whatever you like. We would also like you to take part in a science selfie competition! All you need to do is take a selfie (or get someone else to take a photo of you) of yourself enjoying science outside of school. Your selfies could include a visit or taking part in a science activity at home/ outside. Be as creative as you like and captions can be included if you wish. E.g. This is science because….
Some examples could be: playing operation with your family, blowing some bubbles, using a microwave, planting some seeds. The possibilities are endless! We want you to appreciate the science all around us and have fun!
Please send your work (the completed sentence and the photo/ caption) to the year 3 email address (email@example.com) and then they will forward some of the entries to me, Miss Cartwright will then choose a winner from each year for a prize. I will also be making a whole school display of many of your entries to show off all of the amazing science work.
I look forward to seeing your work- time to get creative!
