WC: 9.11.20 Homework
WAC- Our WAC homework for this fortnight is based on our recent work on Rivers. Around the world rivers provide food and water for millions of people. Some people even live permanently on rivers, on houses that float. Your challenge is to design and label a perfect houseboat for you and your family. Although you can draw this on any piece of paper or even make your boat from craft supplies or even lego, we ask that you don’t bring these into school due to Covid.
Instead use Purple Mash to design your house-boat online so we can share it with the whole class.
On Purple Mash, when your child logs in, there will be a notification on 'alert' and will be labelled 'to do at home'. This will be the homework for this fortnight. Please note that we also use Purple Mash in our computing lessons - any to-do's that are done during computing lessons will be labelled 'to do at school'.
If you wish to email a picture of your boat, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Spelling WC: 9.11.20
Here are this week's spelling list for all of Year 3.
These spellings will be tested on Friday the 20th of November and more spellings will also be sent out that day via Spelling shed.
Times Table Rockstars
We recommend that the children practice their times tables for 10 minutes at least 3 times a week.
We recommend that the children read to an adult at home at least 4 times a week. We would be grateful once they have been read with, an adult signs their initals in the children's reading record book.
Please note that there is no expectation for children to go onto Mathletics this week.
