Day 18: Wednesday 6th May 2020
Here we are again, hump day!
Yesterday was another great day receiving all your fab emails, I really do look forward to seeing what you have done! I have been hearing about camping, tadpoles, body painting, pizza making, gardening, bike rides, baking, rope swinging and working in allotments! All sorts! As well as completing all your school work – well done!
I went on a lovely sunny walk and saw a mummy duck and her 12 duckling babies.... and I am worried about having to care for one! Haha! Then after some work and lunch I set up camp in the kitchen to do some baking! It is my Mother-in-Law and my Sister-in-Law’s Birthday today! I made cupcakes to decorate and then this afternoon we are going to drop them off on the door step, stand back and sing them a happy birthday! They don’t live together but I am lucky that all our immediate family are all very local, we can walk to my MIL and Dom’s sister is not far in the car! Hopefully it will make them smile and they enjoy! The yellow ones are lemon and the others are chocolate cake with a vanilla buttercream topping. The best bit of baking… licking the bowl!
It was quite hard to concentrate here yesterday as my neighbours are having a new fence so there was a lot of crashing and banging, so least the cake making kept my mind off it!
Just for ease, after a request I have added a ‘Weekly Topic’ section to the Year One Distance Learning page on the website so that you can be reminded about the topic and find it all in one place. A couple of parents said after Monday is done you often forget to check back! So, I hope that is easier!
Finally, I have attached a lovely poem that has been circling about this virus you might like to watch.
Have a lovely day,
Mrs Brooke-Read x
