Good morning year 3!
Half way through our first week of distance learning and we are on complete lockdown. At least the weather has started to cheer up. How are you all doing? It can feel a bit rubbish sometimes being stuck indoors so I am trying to keep as busy as possible. Yesterday I went into school to help look after the children of key worker families and tried some mindfulness colouring at home. On today's agenda...mowing the lawn. Not that fun, but hopefully the sun will be out. I am also trying to keep as active as possible. Joe Wicks is doing live PE lessons every morning on his youtube channel. Look on the PE distance learning page for the link. I have also brought my skipping rope home from school so I can try and get my one minute total up and I am also going to give yoga a go. We have a DVD at home which you watch and copy the moves. Never done it before, but why not give it a go?
As well as all this, I have also been marking you brilliant work along with the rest of the year 3 team. We have been blown away by not only the amount of work we are receiving, but also the quality of it as well. It is so good to see you all applying what you have learnt at school independently at home. It really brightens up our day, so please keep sending it in!
Special mention to the following children:
3A - Georgia-Rose for deciding to make a mind map to help her with her setting description and George for some very creative actions for the model text.
3S - Chloe for sending daily jokes to Miss Sharratt which has really made her chuckle and Callie for using her growth mindset to do some brilliant skipping.
3W - Jem for learning how to read a map (very handy) and Nathan for dressing up as a mammoth for a mammoth hunt.
These are just a few highlights, but I could have put all of you up. Do keep sending us your lovely work. Remember to do your best to get it to us by 4pm.
Thank you so much for all of your hard work. We are thinking about you all so stay safe and look after yourselves.
