At Great Missenden School we have a wide and varied range of extra-curricular activities which are organised by teaching staff at lunchtime or after school.
Places for clubs are booked on a termly basis. Once clubs become available to book, you will need to book your child a place and make payment via School Gateway.

External Provider Clubs Autumn 2026
We are delighted to confirm the external provider clubs that will be available to children during the Autumn Term.
Whether your child would like an energetic start to the day with Gymnastics or Cheerleading, develop their strategic thinking through Chess at lunchtime, or finish the school day with Football, Freestyle Dance, Multi-Sports or Martial Arts, there are a variety of opportunities available across the week.
Please note that all bookings and payments should be made directly with the individual club providers using the contact details provided below.
These clubs will be complemented by a range of teacher-led clubs, details of which will be shared at the start of the Autumn Term.
For families requiring childcare, Jelly Beans Breakfast and Afterschool Club operates before and after school from 7.30am to 6.00pm. A new 4.15pm to 6.00pm session is also available for children attending after-school clubs.
About the Clubs
Cheerleading with Dance Mania
Dance to the latest chart and cheer music while learning high-energy routines, stunts and lifts. Sessions help develop teamwork, rhythm and confidence.
Chess with Chess Coaching Services
Suitable for beginners through to advanced players. Children will benefit from a regular grading system while developing problem-solving skills, strategic thinking and sportsmanship in a safe and friendly environment.
Football with AJD Football Coaching
A fun-filled outdoor club featuring warm-up games, structured coaching sessions and small-sided matches. Weekly "Player of the Day" certificates are awarded, and all participants receive an AJD medal at the end of term.
Gymnastics with Gymtastic Kidz
Children will have the opportunity to use a wide range of gymnastics equipment, including vaulting apparatus, wall bars and ropes. Sessions will develop floor skills such as rolls, cartwheels, tumbling and walkovers.
Martial Arts with Focus Fitness
Fun and engaging martial arts sessions designed to build confidence, coordination, discipline and fitness. Suitable for all abilities, with no previous experience required.
Multi-Sports with First Touch Sports
A variety of sports and games delivered indoors or outdoors, depending on the weather, encouraging participation, teamwork and physical activity
