Children will be introduced to their new spellings every Tuesday and will have a short spelling check the following Tuesday.

Spellings books will be sent home on a Tuesday, and we kindly ask that these are returned the following Tuesday so new spellings can be added.

Your child will practise these spellings in school as well. All spellings come directly from our school phonics scheme and are carefully chosen to match the sounds taught the previous week, helping to build confidence and success.

In the first week back after a school holiday, spellings will focus on tricky words to help children recap and settle back into routines.
