Meetings
The Local Governing Board of Great Missenden School operates as a committee of the Board of Trustees of the Great Learners Trust, of which the school is a member academy school. The remit of the Local Governing Board is set out in the Scheme of Delegated Authority agreed between the school and the Board of Trustees of the Great Learners Trust. This sets out how the Local Governing Board works with the Board of Trustees of the Great Learners Trust to:
set the school’s vision, ethos and strategic direction;
hold the headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils; and
oversee the financial performance of the school and make sure its money is well spent.
Our Local Governing Board works together as a whole to meet its responsibilities in respect of each of its core functions and no longer operates via committees.
Together with the Trustees of the Great Learners Trust we aim to provide confident and strong strategic leadership of Great Missenden School which leads to robust, accountability oversight and assurance for all stakeholders for the educational and financial performance of the school.
