• Easter Card Competition

  Our recent Easter Card Competition inspired lots of children to once again demonstrate their individual artistic flare. With entries from across the school it proved a tough task to select one winner from each year group therefore we had some close runners-up. The winning children each received a chocolate Easter egg and certificate presented by Mrs Addis and myself during assembly last term. A BIG thank you once again to all that entered!

• Art Competition

  The latest Art Competition had over 80 entries, which was amazing! The winners were announced at the last assembly of term, each winner was presented with a certificate and a £5.00 WHSmiths voucher. The winners were...

  Reception - Poppy for her amazing drawing of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves.

  Year 1- Henry for his brilliant alien book cover.

   

  Year 2 - Ashton for his stunning picture of the Big Bad Wolf from the Three Little Pigs.

  Year 3 - Beatrice for a lovely picture of a sleepy Thumbelina.

  Year 4 - Evie for a amazing watercolour painting for the book, 'Young Samari.'

  Year 5 - Annie for a colourful, eye-catching cover for the book , 'Gangsta Granny.'

  Year 6 - Otto for his character drawing for the book, 'Naruto.'

• Year 2 Darvells' Bakery Visit

  On Thursday 14th February, Year 2 visited Darvells' and Sons Family Bakers in Chesham. The children were taught how to bake bread by a master baker.  They thoroughly enjoyed the experience and were all extremely proud of the loaves they had produced! Well done Year 2!

  

• Year 6 Takeover Day!

  On Friday 1st February, Year 6 took over the school for the whole day! They planned their lessons well in advance, taught them with confidence and even marked the work! All the members of staff were blown away by the maturity and independence of the Year 6 pupils.

• Shoe Box Scheme - Rotary Club Thank You

  We received the following thank you email from George Rivas of the Rotary Club, Great Missenden following our participation in the Shoebox scheme:

  Dear supporter,

  May we in the Rotary Club of Great Missenden send you our heartfelt thanks for your tremendous support for the Shoe Box Scheme last Christmas. You and your children's support has meant a great deal to so many under-privileged children.　 We have just received from our depot in Preston the forwarded email. Your boxes went to Romania and the Ukraine.　

  Also, do look into the Face book site for even more delightful pictures.
