Year 1

         Welcome to Year 1        2025-2026

Welcome to Year One with Mrs Casey!

Year One begins the children's journey into Key Stage One, so it is a very important year and we aim to give all the children the best transition possible from the EYFS. We do this by make learning come to life through our exciting topics and lessons. We love to challenge ourselves and we are always trying to stretch our fantastic, elastic brains, having lots of fun whilst we learn through our inspiring creative curriculum. We are resilient learners and use our growth mindset everyday which means that we never give up, even if we find something really tricky.

On this page you will find key information with regards to the curriculum being followed in Year 1. Our topics this year are listed below and if you click the links at the bottom of the page you will find any extra information you need.

We look forward to sharing with you all the fantastic things that happen in Year One this year.

Please contact any of us on year1@gmglt.co.uk if you need to ask us any questions or discuss anything with us.
