  • Ping Pong!

    Three children from Year 5 demonstrated that 'practise makes perfect' on Friday 17th March. Last year we put the all weather table tennis tables on the KS2 playground. Oliver Charlton, Nathan Bergandy and Josh Mandeville are never far away from them. They went to Little Kingshill to play in a table tennis tournament and brought home the trophy! They won almost every game and were extremely humble in victory. Well done boys.

  • TREEmendous Week

    Through the Woodland Trust initiative we were gifted 840 free trees to plant in our school grounds.  

    Last week the children planted the tree saplings in class groups, this also coincided with National Get your Grandparents gardening week.

    This was a great opportunity for children to participate in some hands on gardening, and be in the great outdoors!

  • Whole School Workout

    On Friday 11th March the children dressed up in Sports mufti to help raise money for Sports relief.

    In the afternoon the whole school participated in a workout ran by the teachers, this included aerobics and dancing.

    The children had loads of fun

  • U11 Tag Rugby

    The U11 tag rugby team welcomed Holmer Green Junior school, Prestwood Junior school and Little Kingshill school to Great Missenden to participate in a tag rugby competition on Wednesday 2nd March.

     

    It was a great afternoon with all the children enjoying it, even in the HAIL!

     

    The children played amazingly and came second out of the four schools. They showed outstanding rugby skills, played beautiful rugby and scores some amazing tries!

  • The Hide

    The Hide came to see Year 4 before half term. The children held bearded dragons, millipedes, frogs, snakes and spiders! They were all incredibly brave and learned a huge amount of information about these rain forest creatures.
  • Greek Day

    Year 4 Ancient Greek Day was a huge success. The children wrote myths, acted out myths, made laurel wreaths, baked pitta bread and competed in their own Olympics. The children were very well behaved and produced some fantastic work.
  • Year 4 Football Festival

    Tue 01 Mar 2016

    Year 4 walked to The Misbourne for a football festival this week. For some children, it was the first time they had played the sport in a competitive environment. The adults attending could not have been more proud. They showed real courage and determination to score lots of goals and win lots of matches. Great job!

  • Imps Week

    The Injury Minimisation Programme for Schools visited Year 6 this week! They taught us all about how to stay safe and avoid danger. We were shown life saving skills and how to react in a crisis. It was a thoroughly enjoyable and informative experience for both classes. We've all been practising our CPR and we're ready to save some lives!
  • Cross Country at Chartridge

    Well done to all of the amazing runners who braved the cold, rain and wind to run at the Cross Country Race at Chartridge School. We did really well, securing lots of medals and team medals for our efforts. You made us all very proud. Keep up the running!

  • Wycombe Wanderers Football League

    Wycombe Wanderers Football League  Kids Cup Winners 2015

    Our U11’s  WON the Wycombe Wanderers Football League KIds Cup 2015 on 27th November!

    The boys played 5 league games without conceding and then won the semi-final on penalties. They went on to win in the final against Cuddington & Dinton 4-0!!

    The boys will be presented with the cup at a forthcoming Wycombe Wanderers game.

    Well done boys – we’re very proud of you!
